Box Score CENTER VALLEY, PA - The College at Florham Devils were knocked off by DeSales, 20-9, in Freedom Conference action on Saturday afternoon.

With the loss, the Devils dropped to 3-11 (1-3 Freedom) while the Bulldogs improved to 6-7 (2-2 Freedom).

The two squads traded goals over the first seven minutes of the first quarter and the score was 2-2 after junior midfielder Jake Higgins scored both FDU goals.  Desales then scored three of the next four goals to grab a 5-3 lead with 13:41 left in the second quarter but freshman attack Daniel Minnich made it 5-4 just 0:14 later.  That's when the Bulldogs made their move though, as they scored the next five goals to take a 10-4 advantage with 6:00 to go.  Higgins and senior midfielder Joe Yobbi scored back-to-back goals to make it 10-6 entering halftime.

DeSales went on another big run in the third quarter, this time tallying five of the six goals in the stanza to take a 15-7 lead after three quarters.  The Bulldogs then really put things away by scoring four of the first five goals of the fourth quarter to take a 19-8 lead on their way to the 20-9 victory.

Higgins finished the game with four goals while Minnich added two goals.  Senior attack Cory Weiss recorded five assists.  Freshman goalkeeper Tim Zangara suffered the loss, making 10 saves.

The Devils return to action on Tuesday, April 23, 2013, at Manhattanville beginning at 7 pm.
