ST. DAVIDS, PA - The College at Florham Devils were defeated by Eastern, 8-2, in Middle Atlantic Conference action on Wednesday afternoon.
With the loss, the Devils dropped to 4-5 (2-3 MAC) while the Eagles improved to 6-3 (5-0 MAC).
After 10:26 of action, Eastern scored the first goal of the game but FDU came back just a minute later to tie it at 1-1 on a goal by junior attack
Pat O'Brien. The Eagles grabbed a 2-1 lead with 0:07 left in the first quarter and took a 3-1 advantage with 9:46 left in the half. The Devils pulled to within 3-2 when senior attack

Jake Higgins on a man-up opportunity but the Eagles took a 4-2 halftime lead when they scored again with 0:07 remaining.
It was all Eastern in the second half, as the Eagles scored the lone goal of the third quarter to take a 5-2 lead before scoring all three of the goals in the fourth quarter to earn the 8-2 victory.

Dino Vitale suffered the loss, making 12 saves.
The Devils return to action on Saturday, April 9, 2011, at home against Lebanon Valley beginning at 1 pm.
