ANNVILLE, PA - Freshman attack
Seth Molek (Oak Park, IL/Oak Park River Forest) had four goals and two assists to lead the College at Florham Devils to a 15-4 win over Lebanon Valley and the second seed in the upcoming Middle Atlantic Conference Tournament.
With the win, the Devils finished the regular season with a record of 10-5 (9-2 MAC) while the Dutchmen dropped to 2-12 (0-11 MAC).
FDU scored the first two goals of the game to grab a 2-0 lead at the end of the first quarter on goals by senior attack
Kevin Shadiack (Kinnelon, NJ/Kinnelon) and freshman attack
Mike Sheehan (Colonia, NJ/St. Joseph's Metuchen). LVC notched the first goal of the second quarter to make it 2-1 but the Devils closed the half by scoring five goals to take a 7-1 lead into halftime. Molek had two goals in the run.
The Devils scored all three goals in the third quarter to increase their lead to 10-1 and after scoring the first two goals of the fourth quarter to grab a 12-1 advantage, the Dutchmen posted back-to-back goals to make it 12-3. FDU then tacked on three more to go up 15-3 before LVC closed out the scoring with 0:19 left in the contest.
Shadiack finished the game with two goals and one assist while Sheehan also had two goals. Junior attack
Drew Canfield (Kinnelon, NJ/Kinnelon) recorded a goal and two assists. Senior goalkeeper
Alex Kajencki (Medfield, MA/Xaverian) started and picked up the win, playing the first half and making four saves.
The Devils return to action on Wednesday, May 5, 2010, at home against an opponent to be determined in the Semifinals of the Middle Atlantic Conference Tournament beginning at 7 pm.
