DALLAS, PA - Freshman attack
Brian Gill (Levittown, NY/East Meadow) had six goals and three assists to lead the College at Florham Devils to a 13-4 win over Misericordia in Middle Atlantic Conference action on Tuesday evening.
With the win, the Devils improved to 4-4 (3-1 MAC) while the Cougars dropped to 2-7 (0-4 MAC).
FDU jumped out to a 5-0 lead with 6:41 left in the second quarter. Gill scored four of those five goals and sophomore attack
Adam Koontz (Oak Ridge, NJ/Jefferson) assisted on three of the five goals. Misericordia made got on the board to make it 5-1 before Gill scored the last two goals of the half to give FDU a 7-1 advantage at intermission.
Koontz scored the first two goals of the third quarter to put the Devils up 9-1 before the Cougars scored the final goal of the third to make it 9-2. FDU opened the fourth quarter with two goals from sophomore midfielder
Pat O'Brien (Flemington, NJ/Hunterdon Central) that gave FDU an 11-2 edge and put the game completely out of reach.
Koontz finished the game with two goals and three assists while junior attack
Drew Canfield (Kinnelon, NJ/Kinnelon) added two assists. Senior goalkeeper
Alex Kajencki (Medfield, MA/Xaverian) picked up the win, playing 45:00 and allowing two goals while making four saves.
The Devils return to action on Saturday, April 10, 2010, at home against Lycoming beginning at 1 pm.
