MADISON, NJ - Senior goalkeeper Alex Kajencki (Medfield, MA/Xaverian) made nine saves and allowed only two goals while the rest of the defense forced 21 turnovers as the College at Florham Devils knocked off King's, 5-2, in Middle Atlantic Conference action on Wednesday evening.  FDU also held King's to only 20-of-27 on clear opportunities.

With the win, the Devils improved to 8-4 (7-1 MAC) while the Monarchs dropped to 4-8 (2-6 MAC).

The Devils jumped out to a 3-0 lead after the first quarter thanks to goals by freshmen midfielders Brian Gill (Levittown, NY/East Meadow), Seth Molek (Oak Park, IL/Oak Park River East) and Mike Sheehan (Colonia, NJ/St. Joseph's Metuchen).  The Monarchs scored the lone goal of the second quarter to cut FDU's halftime lead to 3-1.

In a sloppy and penalty laden second half, senior attack Kevin Shadiack (Kinnelon, NJ/Kinnelon) scored a goal in the third quarter and a goal in the fourth quarter to put FDU up 5-1 with 14:53 left in the game.  King's made it 5-2 with 12:09 remaining but that was all Kajencki and his defense, seniors Jason Fluss (Farmingdale, NY/Sachem) and Nick Fernicola (Levittown, NY/Division), junior Rob Novack (Madison, NJ/Madison) and sophomore Frank Marzillo (Bay Shore, NY/Bay Shore), would allow.

Sheehan finished with a goal and an assist while senior midfielders Scott Neuberger (East Patchogue, NY/South Hampton) and Taylor Evans (Easton, PA/Easton) controlled the face-offs, winning 4-of-6 and 3-of-5 respectively.

The Devils return to action on Saturday, April 24, 2010, with a crucial MAC road game at fellow one-loss squad Elizabethtown beginning at 1 pm.
