GWYNEDD VALLEY, PA - The College at Florham Devils were defeated by Gwynedd-Mercy, 2-0, in non-conference action on Wednesday evening.

With the loss, the Devils dropped to 7-3.

The Griffins jumped out to an early 1-0 lead as they scored just 3:03 into the game.  They then added a second goal with 5:43 to go before halftime.  The two teams played even in the second half but the Devils couldn't make a dent in the lead.

Junior goalkeeper Kevin Herbert (Whippany, NJ/Whippany Park) made seven saves in net.

The Devils return to action Saturday, October 3, 2009, with their conference opener at Wilkes beginning at noon.
