GREENSBORO, N.C. – FDU-Florham baseball standout
Xavier Diaz was named ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Division III All-Region IV Second Team the American Baseball Coaches Association announced Tuesday as the organization released its 2026 All-Region Teams.
Diaz, a Wanaque, N.J. native continues to add to his awards tally after the sophomore outfielder had an outstanding season for the Devils. Diaz started all 38 games for the Devils in left field. He led the MAC Freedom in hitting with a .439 average. His .689 slugging percentage was fifth and his on base percentage was third at .540 for a 1.229 OPS, good for fourth best. Diaz finished the year with 58 hits including six home runs, seven doubles, and four triples with 38 RBI and 39 runs scored. He had 17 multi-hit games and two separate 10-game hitting streaks. On the base paths, Diaz went a perfect 10-for-10 in stolen bases and in the outfield, he finished the year with a .962 fielding percentage with just three errors.
This comes on the heels of being named All-MAC Freedom First Team and a D3baseball.com All-Region IV Third Team selection. Diaz becomes the first player since Tommy Moore and Christian Capuano in 2022 to be named All-MAC Freedom First Team, D3baseball.com All-Region and ABCA/Rawlings All-Region in the same season.
