NEWTOWN, Pa. – Four FDU-Florham baseball players were selected to the All-MAC Freedom Teams as
Xavier Diaz was named First Team,
Matthew Bond was named Second Team and
John Rolli and
Christian Zamrok were Honorable Mention sections the conference office announced Monday morning.
Diaz, a Wanaque, N.J. native had an outstanding season for the Devils. The sophomore led the MAC Freedom in hitting with a .439 average. His .689 slug was fifth and his on base percentage was third at .540 for a fourth best OPS of 1.229. Diaz finished the year with 58 hits including six homers, seven doubles, and four triples with 38 RBI and 39 runs scored. He had 17 multi-hit games and two separate 10-game hitting streaks. On the base paths, Diaz went a perfect 10-for-10 in stolen bases and in the outfield, he finished the year with a .962 fielding percentage with just three errors committed.
Bond had a breakout season for the Devils in 2026. The Ridgewood, N.J. native finished the year with 31 hits with five doubles, two triples, and two home runs as he slashed .341/.429/.474 for a .945 OPS. The sophomore tallied 22 RBI and scored 15 runs. His .341 average was third best on the team.
Rolli continued his impressive career for the Devils in 2026 as the Long Valley, N.J. native recorded 51 hits on the year and even reached the 100-hit plateau this season. The junior shortstop slashed .383/.506/.489 with FDU's second best OPS at .995. Rolli notched eight doubles and three triples with 22 RBI and a team-high 40 runs scored.
Zamrok, FDU's only freshman to be selected to the All-MAC Team, had a strong first-year for the Devils as he shifted from right field to second base halfway through the year. The Clifton, N.J. native totaled 32 hits and slashed .291/.455/.373 for an .828 OPS. Zamrok finished with 21 RBI and scored 26 runs. The freshman utility player was third on the Devils in hit-by-pitches with 15 and was 9-for-14 in stolen bases. In the field, Zamrok finished with a .918 fielding percentage.
This is the third consecutive year the Devils have garnered three or more All-MAC Freedom selections.
