MECHANICSBURG, Pa. - The FDU track and field team competed in the first day of the 2026 MAC Outdoor Championships Thursday afternoon.
Devils Highlights
- Starting with the track events, sophomores Meghan Kreinberg and Alyssa Orio both competed in the first wave of heptathlon events. In the heptathlon 100m hurdles, Kreinberg took fourth with a time of 16.82 while Orio finished seventh with a time of 18.23. In the heptathlon 200m event, Kreinberg finished second with a time of 27.01 while Orio took seventh again with a time of 29.12. Rounding out the track events for the day, the men's 4x800m relay team comprised of juniors Luke Passarelli and Nathaniel Perrelli, sophomore Evan McGinnity and senior Emmanuel Torode finished 11th with a final time of 8:50.43.
- The Devils only competed in two field events, with both being women's heptathlon events. In the heptathlon high jump, Kreinberg finished first with a final height of 1.67 meters. Orio finished eighth in the event with a final height of 1.34 meters. Kreinberg also took first place in the heptathlon shot put event, finishing with a final distance of 12.06 meters. Orio finished sixth in the event with a final distance of 7.56 meters, rounding out the day for the Devils.
How it Happened
- After the first day of the women's heptathlon, Kreinberg is sitting in second place overall while Orio is sitting seventh overall.
