FAIRBANKS, Alaska – FDU-Florham baseball pitcher
Eddie Appollina was named to the D3baseball.com National Team of the Week for the week ending March 1, the publication announced Wednesday afternoon.
Appollina, an Annandale, N.J. native, has been stellar on the mound for the Devils through his first two starts. He helped FDU to a 4-0 record last week as he tossed five shutout innings and allowed no hits and punched out seven in an 18-0 win over Lehman on Saturday, Feb. 28.
Through his first two starts of the 2026 season, the junior starting pitcher has allowed zero runs and just one hit with 14 punch outs in just 11 innings of work.
The Devils are off to one of their best starts in program history having won six straight ballgames to begin the year.
FDU looks to extend its win streak to seven in a row on Wednesday, March 4 as the Devils host interstate rival Ramapo College. First pitch is set for 2:30 p.m.
