FAIRBANKS, Alaska – A day after the FDU-Florham baseball team boasted its third consecutive MAC Freedom baseball Player of the Week, D3baseball.com announced its Team of the Week and sophomore Xavier Diaz earned a spot on the weekly roster following Eddie Appollina's appearance a week ago, the outlet announced Wednesday afternoon.
 
Diaz, a Wanaque, N.J. native, had a monster week for the Devils as the sophomore outfielder went an astonishing 11-for-18 with one double, two triples, four RBI, and six runs scored. He amassed 16 total bases through the five games for FDU without recording a strikeout and getting hit by a pitch four times. 
 
Diaz finished the week batting .611 with a .682 OBP and an .889 SLG for a 1.571 OPS. He recorded four multi-hit games including back-to-back three hit games with a 3-for-5 performance against Ramapo on March 4 and a 3-for-3 performance against Rutgers-Newark on March 5. 
 
The outfielder is currently riding a nine-game hitting streak. Through FDU's first 11 games, Diaz leads the MAC Freedom in OBP (.614), SLG (.833), and OPS (1.447) and is second in average at .528.

Diaz and the rest of the Devils look to get back into the win column on Thursday, March 12 as FDU hosts NJCU. First pitch is set for 3:30 p.m.
