NEW YORK, N.Y.– The FDU indoor track and field team returned to the Armory for the NYU D3 Invitational Saturday morning.
Devils Highlights
- Junior Samantha Castellano kicked off the meet by coming in third in the 60m unseeded event, finishing with a final time of 9.68. Following Castellano, first year Khajera Caldwell placed fourth in the same event with a personal record time of 9.75. On the men's team, sophomore Alex Coles posted a personal best time of 7.51 as he placed 10th in the 60m unseeded event. Rounding out the morning events, senior Bianca Burke once again broke the school record for the 400m event, placing fifth overall. Her record-breaking time was 58.89, which is a full 1.82 second improvement from her earlier season best time.
- Burke brought her best for the afternoon events as well, placing fourth in the 200m open event with a season best time of 26.30. In the 200m open event, juniors Nashawn Presley and Ty Wagner both posted new season best times, with Presley finishing with a time of 23.73 and Wagner finishing with a time of 24.44. In the men's 4x400m team, consisting of senior Emmanuel Torode, juniors Nathaniel Perrelli and Luke Passarelli, and sophomore Lucas Sorrentino, finished with a season best time of 3:43.10.
- On the field side of the meet, sophomore Meghan Kreinberg starts her meet off by breaking the high jump record for the school. Her final height was 1.65m, which also places her into the DIII top 100 list for the 2025-26 season. For the men's team, Coles once again finds success in the high jump event, tied for ninth with a final height of 1.80m. Finally, senior Tytus Toliver finished the meet off by posting a new personal best distance in the shot-put event, finishing with a distance of 11.83m.
How it Happened
- Overall, six Devils finished in the top 10 within their events.
