York, PA (May 2)- For the second day of the MAC Outdoor Championships, FDU-Florham Men's Track & Field was not able to highlight the day on the podium, but was able to break two school records in its attempt in four events for the day.
Taking their marks in the 100m was
Nathaniel Evely (Bogota, NJ) and
Ty Wagner (Wappingers Fall, N.Y.) who took off in a hurry and crossed the line just seconds later, resulting in Evely (11.03) taking 11
th and Wagner behind with milliseconds separating the marks, but many placements separating the teammates.
The lone Devil in the 200m was Evely as he ran his best time of the season (22.74) and recorded a school record in the same attempt around the track. The sophomore placed 14
th overall.
Lucas Sorrentino (Staten Island, NY) and
Nathaniel Perrelli (Fanwood, NJ) both participate in the 400m dash, as the last individual time around the track for the Devils during day two. Recording a time of 53.21 for 27
th overall was Sorrentino, as Perrelli was slightly behind taking 29
th overall with a time of 54.26.
In the 4x100m relay, a quartet of Wagner, Sorrentino, Perreli, and Evely may not have placed themselves on the podium for the meet, but did take a spot in the school record book as a collective time of 43.94 was just faster and placed them 12
th overall in the meet.
