Towson, MD (May 14) – The FDU-Florham Men's Track & Field team capped off the 2025 outdoor season with a strong showing at the ECAC Division III Outdoor Championship, highlighted by a new school record in the 1,500-meter run set by junior Emmanuel Torode (Roxbury, NJ).
Torode placed fifth overall with a time of 4:26.57, shaving four seconds off the previous program record. He was closely followed by teammates Evan McGinnity, who clocked in at 4:35.92 for seventh place, and Beckett Burcat (Basking Ridge, NJ), who placed ninth with a time of 4:50.57.
Torode also competed in the 800-meter run, where he recorded his third-best time of the season at 2:11.40.
In the 400-meter dash, Lucas Sorrentino (Staten Island, NY) and Nathaniel Perrelli (Fanwood, NJ) placed 13th and 14th, respectively, with times of 53.47 and 54.08.
Nathaniel Evely (Bogota, NJ) posted strong performances in the sprints, clocking 23.24 in the 200 meters (his third-fastest time this season) and 11.44 in the 100 meters (his fourth-fastest).
Jason Nonnenmacher (Staten Island, NY) was the lone field event competitor for the Devils, throwing 26.41 meters in the javelin—good for fourth-best in FDU-Florham program history.
FDU-Florham concluded the 2025 outdoor season with six new school records and one postseason medal, signaling strong momentum heading into the next year.
