East Stroudsburg, PA (April 19)- The Men's Track & Field Team took to the East Stroudsburg All-American Invitational and ran through the line for one school record in the 100m by
Nathaniel Evely (Botoga, NJ) as well as other high-place finishes.
Staring off was the 100m as it held three Devils, including Evely, who broke the school record with an 11.01 and an overall placement of 5
th. Next past the line was
Ty Wagner (Wappingers Falls, N.Y) as he took 9
th overall with a time of 11:46. Navir Gandy was the final Devil in the event and clocked a 11.79, taking 11
th place.
Wagner also competed in the 200m and had the top time for the Devils (24.02) and just made the top ten in the meet.
Francisco Tanez (West Orange, NJ) was just a stride off his teammate as he recorded a time of 24.63, taking 13
th. With a time of 28.09,
Jason Nonnenmacher (Staten Island, NY) was the final athlete from FDU to record as time as he listed a 28.09 for 14
th overall in the results.
Lucas Sorrentino (Staten Island, NY), representative of FDU-Florham in the 400m. With determination, the first year took 5
th overall with a time of 52.72.
Taking a leap on the track in the 400m Hurdles was
Shane Breedlove (Richmond, Va.) and
Norbert Martinez (Roxbury, NJ). Breedlove crossed the line first with a time of 1:04.19 (5
th) and Martinez followed for a time of 1:11.62 (8
th).
The largest event of the day for the Devils was 800m, as the four Devils stretched from 6
th to 16
th overall.
Luke Passarelli (Brick, NJ) was first for his team with a time of 2:09.70, and
Kyle Savannah was the 16
th place as he ran a 2:25.73. In between was
Nathaniel Perrelli (Fanwood, NJ) with a 2:11.68 (9
th), as well as
Evan McGinnity who ran a 2:16.33 and took 15
th overall.
The only distance event of the meet was the 1500m, and it was in three Devils, including McGinnity (4:38.82, 8
th), Savannah (4:50.45, 9
th), and
Beckett Burcat (Basking Ridge, NJ) (4:51.10, 10
th) .
The field events were led by
Joseph Teresi (Ocean Twp, NJ), who threw the discus a distance of 40.31m for 6
th. He also threw the shot put a distance of 15.15m, which resulted in the 4
th best throw of the meet.
Taking on the high jump was Gandy as his first collegiate jump marked 1.60m, which placed him for 5
th.
FDU-Florham was able to submit a 4x100m relay team, which took second in the meet with a time of 45.64, but surprisingly did not break a school record.
Before taking on MAC Outdoor Championships, FDU-Florham will travel to King's for the Monarch Open as their last regular-season meet. The Event will take place on Saturday, April 26
th, with events starting at 11am.
