Newtown, Pa. (March 3)- FDU-Florham Baseball first-year Xavier Diaz (Wanaque, NJ) earned baseball's second MAC Freedom Player of the Week honors of the year for his performances against Wilmington, Lesley, WPI, and King's (Pa.).

Diaz connected for a hit ten times this week, with two being extra-base hits. He crossed the plate 11 times and tallied nine RBIs. The highlight of this stretch was a grand slam against Lesley on March 11^th, as well as a hitting 3-6 against King's (Pa.) on March 16^th. Diaz is ranked in the top five in the MAC Freedom for batting average, runs scored, home runs, RBIs, and slugging percentage, and is top ten in OPS, hits, and total bases.

This is Diaz's first career MAC Freedom Player of the Week honor.


Baseball will battle Merchant Marine away on March 18^th, with the first pitch taking place at 5:30 PM.
