New Orleans, La. (March 13)- The FDU-Florham Men's and Women's Track & Field team saw senior
Joseph Teresi (Ocean Twp., NJ) and first-year
Meghan Kreinberg (Union, NJ) named to the United States Track and Field and Cross-Country Coaches Association All-Metro Region team as announced by the organization on Wednesday afternoon.
Teresi was the lone shot putter during the indoor season for the Fairleigh Dickinson. He started the season off on a high mark as he qualified for Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Championships, broke the program record, and recorded his best throw of the season 15.38m during the first meet of the season at the NJCU Indoor Open. That throw finished the indoor season as the third-best throw in the region. In the MAC Indoor Championships, he stood on the podium with a fourth-place finish and his last mark of the indoor season was recorded at 14.60m.
Competing in a multitude of events this season, Kreinberg made her impact felt in the region when she qualified for the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Championships in three events (Pentathlon, High Jump, and Shot Put) throughout the season. She earned bronze and silver medals at the MAC Championships in the high jump with a mark of 1.58m and in the pentathlon with 2924 points in 5 events. Her throw at the NYU DIII Invitational placed her 5
th in the region as it marked 12.56m.
Both the Men's and Women's teams will now look to the outdoor season for its first meet of the season taking place on Saturday, March 22 during the Stockton Invitational. The first events are scheduled for 9:30am.
