Annapolis, MD (February 28) – Day one of the 2025 ECAC Swimming Open Championships held positive outcomes for the FDU-Florham Women's Swimming Team as a school record was broken in the 200 free relay by a quartet of Devils. FDU-Florham stands in 10th of 19 teams with 18 points.
Diving into the pool against Division I and II school was
Katelyn Plank (Bridgewater, N.J.), Magda Konopka (Paramus, NJ),
Lauren Stone (Middletown, NJ),
Julianna Fazzio (Glassboro, NJ) who all worked together to achieve the school record in the 200 free relay with a time of 1:39.46 (9
th overall)
The individual events for the Devils consisted of Konopka and Plank partaking in the 50 free, which resulted in a short showing with placement of 25
th (24.57) for Konopka and 35
th (25.01) for Plank in the prelims.
FDU-Florham will return to the pool on Saturday, March 1
st at 10am for Day Two of the ECAC Swimming Open Championships.
