York, PA (February 15) – Day Three of the MAC Swimming Championships saw all of the FDU-Florham Men's Swimmers qualify for finals in their events. However, as a team, they remain in 10
th of 11 teams with 176 total points.
AJ Vicidomini (Howell, N.J.) and
Edward Danza (Jackson, NJ) both competed in the 200 fly and moved on from the prelims with times of 2:13.54 and 2:33.93. Vicidomini finished ahead in the C finals as he took 18
th overall (2:09.90) and Danza finished for 20
th overall (2:34.74).
Racing in the 100 back was
Davide Mezzoli (Pompton Lakes, NJ) who swam his way to the B finals with a time of 55.58 in the prelims. His final individual swim of the day was .12 seconds faster, which earned him 11
th overall (55.40).
Michael Bang (Succasunna, NJ) touched the wall in the prelims of the 100 breast with a time of 1:03.39. His time earned him a spot in the C finals and ultimately improved his time by 1.20 seconds for a placement of 17
th overall (1:02.19).
The final day of the MAC Championships will include the 100 free, 200 back, 200 breast, 1650 free, and 400 free relay The individual events will have their preliminary rounds starting at 9:30am and the top 24 times from the morning session will advance to the final's session at 5:00pm. The relay teams will compete in the evening session.
