Montclair, NJ (January 3) – The FDU-Florham Men's Swimming Team saw multiple first-place finishes in their meet at Montclair State, but was still not a match for the Red Hawks as the Devils lost by a score of 118-66.
AJ Vicidomini (Howell, N.J.) was on the podium for two out of his three events as he claimed the top step in the 500 free with a time of 5:36.00. He then took one step down in the 200 free for second with a time of 1:58.27 and finally ended with a fourth-place finish in the 100 fly with a recorded time of 1:00.80.
Jackson Standridge (Warren, NJ) looked to have the same placements as Vicidomini, with claiming the victory in the 100 IM (1:09.00), taking second in the 100 breast (1:12.51), and touching the wall for fourth in the 50 breast (32.89).
Edward Danza (Jackson, NJ) stood on the podium in the 50 fly with a time of 30.49 for third place. He then took fourth in the 50 free (30.14) and fifth in the 100 fly (1:05.31).
Davide Mezzoli (Pompton Lakes, NJ) was the most consistent face on the podium fo the Devils as he won the 100 back with a time of 58.05. He then proceeded to claim second in the 50 back (26.66) and the 50 fly (25.73).
The Devils put a fourth of the four swimmers to compete in the relay and medley events and did not see ideal results in the 200 medley as they claimed fourth with a time of 1:53.03. However the quartet put together a first-place time of 1:45.92.
For their first and only home meet of the 2024-25 season, FDU-Florham will host Stevenson on Friday, January 17 at 4:00pm.
