Chester, Pa. (May 4)- On the final day of the MAC Championships,
Sarah Dougherty (Kinnelon, N.J.) took home a silver medal for the FDU-Florham women's track and field team on Saturday afternoon.
Dougerty placed second in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:05.79. Her silver medal becomes the highest standing in the programs' short history that succeeds her bronze-medal standing in the same event from last year
Bianca Burke (Bridgewater, N.J.) competed in the finals run for the 400-meter dash. She ended up placing fifth in the event with a time of 59.79 for her first ever MAC podium finish.
The Devils women's program fielded their first MAC Championship relay team this season. Representing the Devils was Burke,
Mai Purse (Ringwood, N.J.), Brianna Fasoli (Totowa, N.J.) and Burke in the 4x400 meter relay. The quartet placed 12
th among the field with a team time of 4:19.23.
FDU-Florham will wrap up the year with the ECAC Championships on Friday, May 12 on the campus of Goucher College in Towson, Md.
