James Dougherty (Kinnelon, N.J.) highlighted the FDU-Florham men's track and field team at the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championships with medal placements at Stevenson University on Friday afternoon.
The Devils placed 6
th of 13 teams competing at this year's championship when they earned a total of 55 points.
For the second year in a row, Adegboye became the ECAC high jump champion when he notched a mark of 1.88m (6' 2") for his second ECAC gold medal. He adds this to the bronze medal he won last week at the MAC Championships.
Brown also took home a gold medal at the event when he won the triple jump event with a mark of 13.64m (44' 9"). He adds this one to the bronze medal he got this outdoor season in the long jump and becomes his fifth medal win overall.
Dougherty earned his first track and field medal today when he competed in the 400-meter hurdles. He clocked a time of 1:00.41 that was good for second place and a silver medal.
In the 100-meter dash,
Nashawn Presley (Irvington, N.J.) earned a spot in the finals during the preliminary runs with a time of 11.42. He was then able to shave off .15 seconds off his time and finished fourth in the event. The Devils also saw preliminary runs from
Cameron Hoover, who clocked a 11.83 for an 11
th place finish and
Shane Breedlove (Richmond, Va.) who clocked a 12.60 for a 19th place finish.
The 200-meter dash only had finals runs from its competitors. Fairleigh Dickinson was led by Presley and Hoover, who both earned points for the Devils with top eight finishes. Presley placed fifth with a time of 23.34 and Hoover came right behind him with a sixth-place finish of 23.36.
Nathaniel Perrelli (Fanwood, N.J.) placed just outside of the points threshold with a ninth-place finish of 24.03.
Aaron McGriff (Scotch Plains, N.J.) clocked a 25.67 to place 18
th, followed by Breedlove who placed 19
th with a time of 26.02.

The Devils also competed in two long distance runs today. In the 1500-meter run,
Beckett Burcatt (Basking Ridge, N.J.) placed fifth when he clocked a 4:59.87. The 5000-meter run was ran by both
Emmanuel Torode (Roxbury, N.J.) and
Joseph Mignone (West Orange, N.J.). Torode finished fifth with a time of 17:28.61 while Mignone placed sixth when he clocked a 19:36.54.
The lone thrower on the day was McGriff in the javelin. He placed 11
th among the field with a mark of 25.12m (82' 0.5").
FDU-Florham will now wait to see if they get any national meet qualifiers before the season wraps up.
