Madison, NJ (December 6 & 7) – The FDU-Florham men's swimming team traveled down the street to Drew for the two-day Ranger Invitational. Overall one first-place finish was seen for the Devils as they compiled 131 points as a team, which placed them second of the three teams competing.

AJ Vicidomini (Howell, N.J.) like his teammates swam in four events. He competed in the 100 free and 500 free and saw placements of 10th and 5th, with times of 53.60 and 5:18.24. The junior also had clocked times in the 100 fly (58.09) and 200 fly (2:13.05), with a placement of 5th and a personal best on the day with a second-place finish.  

Michael Bang (Roxbury, N.J.) claimed four 4th-place finishes in the 50 free (22.43), the 100 breast (1:01.53), and the 100 free (49.98). Bang also competed in the 100 fly and touched the wall at 56.41 for a placement of 8th.

Jackson Standridge (Warren, NJ) saw his best finish of the day in the 400 IM where a time of 4:59.47 gave him a 2nd-place finish. The 200 IM was also recorded for Standridge but he took 7th with a time of 2:17.91. The 100 breast for the junior was competed in a time of 1:07.93 for 6th place and the 200 breast earned him a time of 2:28.59 for 3rd.

Edward Danza (Jackson, NJ) rounded his invitational showing with four times recorded, each in the 50 free (26.91), 100 free (58.79), 100 fly (1:04.24), and the 200 fly (2:44.50). His best finish came in the 200 fly when his time was good enough to take third place.

The only first-place finish of the invitational for the Devils belonged to Davide Mezzoli (Pompton Lakes, NJ), as the 100 back was won with a time of 54.70. The first-year also competed in the 200 back and took 4th place with a time of 2:01.04. He also competed in the 50 free with a time of 22.93 for 7th and the 100 fly for 4th with a time of 55.00.

The same four Devils competed in all of the medleys and relays during the invitational, as it consisted of Mezzoli, Vicidomini, Bang, and Standridge. The group claimed second in all for events but clocked a collective time in the 200 medley with a 1:47.78, a time of 1:36.55 in the 200 free relay, a time of 3:54.31 in the 400 medley, and a time of 3:32.78 in the 400 free relay.

FDU-Florham set to be back in the pool competing in just one week, when they travel to William Paterson on Saturday, December 14 at 1pm.
