Wayne, NJ (December 14) – The FDU-Florham Men's Swimming Team jumped in William Paterson's pool for the final meet of the 2024 calendar year and unfortunately saw a 129-66 loss to the Pioneers.
AJ Vicidomini (Howell, N.J.) competed in two events in which the junior collected a first-place finish in the 1000 free with a time of 11:11.16, while he took second in the 500 free with a time of 5:18.24.
Classmate
Michael Bang (Roxbury, N.J.) captured a first-place finish in both of his events, as he touched the wall in the 50 free with a time of 22.99 and a time of 50.52 in the 100 free.
Jackson Standridge (Warren, NJ) took second in both the 200 IM (2:19.52) and the 100 breast (1:09.57).
Edward Danza (Jackson, NJ) saw his best finish in the 100 fly as he clocked a 1:05.51 in the 100 fly for fourth place, and a 27.23 in the 50 free for fifth place.
First-year
Davide Mezzoli (Pompton Lakes, NJ), shined near the top of the podium as he saw a first-place finish in the 100 back (55.38) and a second-place finish in the 200 free (1:56.16).
The Devils were able to put together a team consisting of Mezzoli, Bang, Vicidomini, and Strandridge to take their lone relay event in the 200 free with a time of 1:38.18. Unfortunately, the first-place finish was not enough for the meet win as the men lost by an overall score of 129-66.
FDU-Florham will look to the 2025 calendar year for its next meet at Montclair State on January 3 at 4:00 pm.
