Wilkes-Barre, PA (November 2) – The FDU-Florham Men's Swimming Team (2-1) closed their business trip to the King's College (1-6) and saw nine first places finishes, which helped put them over the edge for the 93-86 win over the Monarchs.
AJ Vicidomini (Howell, N.J.) was one of the first Devils to clench a first-place finish as he competed in the 1000 free with a time of 11:20.78. The junior also competed in the 500 free and touched the wall with 41 seconds (5:25.58) to spare from the next closest time for first place.
Classmate
Michael Bang (Roxbury, N.J.) claimed his first first-place finish in the 50 free with a time of 22.62 seconds. He was also seen in the 100 free and clocked a time of 50.94 for first place.
Jackson Standridge (Warren, NJ) notched a time of 2:23.52 in the 200 IM for his first-place finish and cleaned up his second individual event with another first-place in the 100 fly (1:11.26).
Edward Danza (Jackson, NJ) competed in the 50 free next to his teammate and collected third-place points with a time of 27.29. He was also seen in the 100 fly with a time of 1:05.14 for second place, as well as the 100 free for third place with a time of 1:11.84.
First-year
Davide Mezzoli (Pompton Lakes, NJ) secured his first-place finish of the day with a time of 1:58.15 in the 200 free. He also touched the wall first in the 100 backstroke in 58.60 seconds.
The Devils were also able to field a team in the 200-free relay that consisted of
Mezzoli,
Bang,
Vicidomini and
Standridge who capped their final meet of the day with a first-place finish for a time of 1:40.37.
FDU-Florham will take two week to recover and improve before heading to Widener for their next meet on Saturday, November 16.
