Madison, N.J. (January 18) – Despite seeing multiple first-place finishes from their swimmers, the FDU-Florham men's swimming team defeated in dual meet action against Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) foe Stevenson on Thursday afternoon.
 
The Devils were led by both James Dougherty (Kinnelon, N.J.) and Michael Bang (Roxbury, N.J.) who each collected a pair of first-place finishes. Dougherty placed first in both the 100 breast (1:03.11) and in the 400 IM (4:32.15) while Bang placed first in the 200 free (1:51.31) and the 500 free (5:08.66). Dougherty's 400 IM time would currently stand as the seventh best time in the MAC.
 
AJ Vicidomini (Howell, N.J.) also touched the wall first in today's meet in the 1000 free when he clocked a time of 11:02.04. He also came in second in the 100 fly when he clocked a 59.98.
 
Edward Danza saw two fourth place finishes today in both the 100 fly (1:04.41) and in the 100 free (1:06.57) while Jackson Standridge (Warren, N.J.) placed fourth in the 200 free with a time of 2:04.93 and fifth in the 100 breast with a time of 1:11.62.
 
The Devils fielded only one relay team in the meet which was the 200 free relay. The makeup of Bang, Dougherty, Vicidomini, and Standridge brought home the win in the event when they clocked a team time 1:39.55
 
FDU-Florham gets set for their final dual meet of the season as the team hosts MAC foe King's (Pa.) on Sunday, January 21 for an 11:00am meet.
