Danbury, Conn. (October 28) – The FDU-Florham men's swimming team (1-2) fell just short in its dual meet against Western Connecticut, 80-78 on Saturday afternoon.
James Dougherty (Kinnelon, N.J.) collected two first-place finishes in the 50 free (23.20) and the 100 back (58.78).
Michael Bang (Roxbury, N.J.) also finished first in two events, first in the 100 free with a time of 51.94 and in the 200 free with a time of 1:52.60.
AJ Vicidomini (Howell, N.J.) took first place in the 1000 free, clocking a time of 10:56.77 and also placed first in the 500 free with a time of 5:21.35.
Jackson Standridge (Warren, NJ) earned a first-place finish in the 100 breast, clocking a time of 1:10.87 while he also placed second in the 200 IM with a time of 2:21.13.
The Devils also fielded a 200 free relay team consisting of Dougherty, Bang, Vicidomini, and Standridge. The quartet finished first with a total time of 1:39.53 for a first-place finish.
FDU-Florham will host their first swim meet of the season on Saturday, November 11 at 5:00 pm as they welcome fellow MAC school Lebanon Valley to the Ferguson Rec Center.
