Glenside, Pa. (January 20) – The FDU-Florham men's swimming team fell to Arcadia University by a 200-38 final on Friday evening on the road in their second to last dual meet of the 2022-23 campaign.
Senior
James Dougherty (Kinnelon, NJ) paced FDU-Florham individually with two second place finishes and a third place finish in addition to his third place finish with the 200-medley relay squad. Dougherty touched the wall second in the 200-IM (2:06.55), second in the 200-breast (2:21.32) and third in the 100-breast (1:02.62). He teamed up with
AJ Vicidomini (Howell, NJ),
Jackson Standridge (Warren, NJ) and
Jack Hulsart (Old Bridge, NJ) for a third place finish in the 200-medly relay (1:51.46).
Vicidomini individually went on to place second in the 100-back (1:02.70) and fourth in the 200-back (2:16.06), Standridge finished fourth in the 200-breast (2:27.92) and fifth in the 100-breast (1:08.38), while Hulsart took second in the 100-free (55.32) and third in the 100-fly (1:01.81).
Michael Bang (Succasunna, NJ) individually finished third in the 200-free (1:55.66) and fourth in the 500-free (5:18.66), while
Edward Danza took fourth in the 50-free (26.41) and fourth in the 100-fly (1:04.75).
Bang, Standridge, Hulsart and Vicidomini capped the night with a time of 8:09.99 in the 800-free relay.
FDU-Florham will return to the pool tomorrow afternoon for a Senior Day meet against Western Connecticut State University beginning at 12pm in the Ferguson Recreation Center. The Devils will honor Dougherty and Hulsart during the meet.
