Danbury, Conn. (January 12) – The FDU-Florham men's swimming team was edged this afternoon at Western Connecticut State University by a final score of 80-61 on the road.
James Dougherty (Kinnelon, NJ)and
Jack Hulsart (Old Bridge, NJ) paced the Devils with three event wins today.
Hulsart individually won the 1000-free in 11:46.36 and the 100-fly in 1:01.52, while Dougherty touched the wall first in the 200-IM in 2:05.94 and the 100-breast in 1:04.31.
Anthony Muschiatti (Rahway, NJ) earned two second place finishes in the 50-free (23.70) and the 100-free (53.75).
James Butcher (West Orange, NJ) rounded out the individual highlights for the Devils with his third place finish in the 500-free (6:27.19).
FDU closed the meet with the only entry in the 200-free relay as Dougherty, Muschiatti, Hulsart and Butcher clocked a time of 1:42.97.
FDU will return to the pool next Wednesday, January 19 with a dual meet at Montclair State University at 3:00 pm.
