Madison, NJ (December 21) – The FDU-Florham baseball team and head coach Jamie Quinn has announced the program's 2022 schedule which features a total of 40 games, 25 home contests and 21 matchups against Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) opponents.

In 2021, FDU finished 8-22 overall (8-20 MAC Freedom) and reached the conference tournament for the first time since the 2014 campaign and for the first time under Quinn's leadership.
 
The Devils will open their season at home inside Vincent J. and Lenda F. Naimoli Ballpark on Friday, February 18 and Saturday, February 19 with the Battle of Madison Avenue. FDU will host Saint Elizabeth University on Friday and Drew University on Saturday with first pitch for both contests scheduled for 3:00 pm.
 
In early March, FDU will be tested with two games at No. 5 nationally-ranked Johns Hopkins University and a game at the University of Mary Washington before opening MAC Freedom play on March 18-19 with a three game set against Delaware Valley University. Before the calendar flips to April, FDU will also take on No. 30 Merchant Marine and King's College (Pa.) in MAC Freedom action.
 
"We are looking forward to the 2022 season, the first full season with our new home, Vincent J. and Lenda F. Naimoli Ballpark," said Quinn. "We have a slate mixed with tough nationally and regionally ranked opponents to help prepare us for the strong MAC Freedom conference schedule. With many experienced returners blended with our newcomers, we are eager to hit the ground running."
 
In April, 15 of FDU's final 19 games will be against its conference rivals. On April 8-9, FDU will play a three game series with No. 20 Misericordia University, which finished last season seventh in the Mid-Atlantic regional poll. The Devils will also play DeSales University (April 14-15), Arcadia University (April 22-23) and Stevens Institute of Technology (April 29-30) before the postseason tournament begins.

The MAC Freedom Tournament is scheduled for the first two weekends in May and all rounds will be contested in three game series. The semifinals (#1 vs. #4 and #2 vs. #3) will take place on May 6-7 and the championship series will occur on May 13-14 at the site of the highest remaining seed.
