Madison, NJ (November 16, 2019)- On Saturday, the FDU Men's Swimming team defeated Western Connecticut State University, 154 to 71, in their first meet at the Ferguson Recreation Center. The Devils improve to 1-2 on the season.
MEET NOTES
- FDU took first place in the Men's 200 yard medley relay with Junior Joshua Atkins, Freshman Jimmy Dougherty, Freshman Justin Atkins and Sophomore Anthony Muschiatti combining for a finals time of 1:49:68.
- Atkins swam season best times in the 100 butterfly (1:00:09) and 200 freestyle (1:59:58) finishing in 2nd and 3rd place.
- Junior Eric Bang hit season bests in the 1000 (10:11:05) and 500 (4:59:21) freestyle, finishing number 1 in both events.
LEAD DEVIL
Bang finished the day winning three events, including the 200 yard butterfly (2:10:64) and the 1000 and 500 freestyle.

"This was an overall great team win on both sides," explained Head Coach
Richard Palm. "Our team did a great job improving on their season best times, and that was a huge reason for us winning".
