RESULTS
MADISON, N.J. (October 19, 2018) - The FDU-Florham men's swim team was topped by William Paterson 118-86 Friday evening.
FDU got off to a hot start, with a first place finish in the 200-yard medley relay. The quartet of freshmen Sam DiLiberto and
Ethan Cross along with sophomore
Eric Bang and junior
Michael Illick recorded a time of 1:51.14. Bang turned in a time of 10:35.45 in the 1,000-freestyle, claiming first place. The sophomore also registered a Middle Atlantic Conference Championship qualifying time with the result. The second-year standout closed out the day touching first in the 500-free, winning by 20 seconds with a time of 5:07.39.

Josh Atkins placed second in the 200-freestyle with a time of 2:00.08, while placing third in 54.95 while swimming the 100-freestyle. Atkins, along with freshmen
Sebastian Romano,
Chris Kunka and
James Butcher took third in the 200-free relay, missing second by 1.3 seconds.
DiLiberto totaled four points with his second place time of 24.64 in the 50-freestyle, and claimed first with a mark of 1:00.76 in the 100-backstroke. Senior
Nicholas DiBenedetto and Cross went 2-3 in the 200-IM, with the senior notching a time of 2:18.02.
DiBenedetto and Illick took the top two spots in the 100-butterfly, coming in at 1:00.52 and 1:01.27 respectively. DiBenedetto qualified for the MAC Championships with his time. Cross and Illick finished within .88 seconds of each other in the 100-breastroke, closing out scoring in the individual events.
FDU is off until November 17 when they head to Staten Island, N.Y. to take on the College of Staten at 12 p.m.
