WILKES-BARRE, PA, (January 20, 2018) - The FDU men's swim team was knocked off by King's and Lycoming in the regular season finale Saturday.
The Devils fell 186-65 to King's and 177-76 to Lycoming
Junior Bohdan Semak set a new school-record with a second place time of 55.89 in the 100-butterfly, while also grabbing second in the 100-freestyle in 50.38. Semak tallied first in the 200-free with a mark of 1:49.85, narrowly beating his King's competitor.
Freshman
Eric Bang was third in the 200, touching the wall in 1:53.28. Bang notched a first place time of 5:05.89 in the 500-free and also was fifth in the 100-free. Classmate
Josh Atkins was fourth in the 100-back, coming in with a mark of 1:03.12 and touched fifth in the 50-free.
Junior
Nicholas DiBenedetto recorded a fifth place score of 2:18.19 in the 200-IM, to close out the Devils scoring in individual events.
The team will continue to train for the MAC Championship meet, which takes place February 15-18 in York, Pa.
