STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. (November 4, 2017) - The FDU men's swim team picked it's first win of the season, topping Staten Island 114-99 Saturday.
Freshman
Eric Bang won the 1,000-yard freestyle, notching a time of 10:39.28, while picking up another victory in the 500-free, finishing in 5:09.21. Additionally, the 200-yard freestyle relay of Bang, Favian Nyugen, Joshua Atkins and
Bohdan Semak won in 1:40.71.
Semak and
Michael Illick went 1-3 in the 200-free, as Semak finished in 1:50.19.
Nicholas DiBenedetto took home first in the 200-IM with a mark of 2:12.93, and followed up with a first place time of 1:00.18 in the 100-yard butterfly.
The junior Semak and
Zach Sykes went back-to-back in the 100-free, as Semak dominated in 50.47. Atkins and
Thomas Sykes combined for seven points with a second and third place finish in the 100-back, with Atkins hitting the wall in 1:03.78. Justin Cole nabbed third in the 100 breaststroke, clocking in at 1:11.98.
The Devils are back in action next Saturday, taking on Wilkes.
