WILKES BARRE, Pa. (November 11, 2017) - The FDU men's swim team was topped by Wilkes 126-72 Saturday.
The 200-medley relay team of
Thomas Sykes,
Justin Cole,
Michael Illick and Estaurdo Gonzalez nabbed second in 2:04.6, while freshman
Eric Bang and
Zach Sykes went 1-2 in the mile. Bang won by nearly 90 seconds, finishing in 17:56.13.
Bohdan Semak narrowly missed first in the 200-free, touching the wall in 1:48.3, while freshman Joshua Atkins was third in the 50-free.
Nicholas DiBenedetto won the 400-IM in 4:44.56, while Semak took his second second place of the day with a 50.43 time in the 100-free.
Bang, DiBenedetto and
Zach Sykes claimed the top-3 spots in the 500-free, as Bang won in 5:11.56. Cole touched third in the 100-breast in 1:13.09, while DiBenedetto, Atkins, Bang and Semak were second in the 200-free. The time of 1:35.87 was 1.02 seconds behind first.
The Devils are back in action next Saturday, traveling to Elizabethtown for a tri-meet also featuring Drew.
