RESULTS
SCRANTON, Pa. (October 14, 2017) - The FDU men's swim team was topped by Cabrini and Scranton in the season-opening dual meet Saturday.
Scranton topped the Devils 142.5-47.5 while Cabrini won 137-62.
Sophomore
Zach Sykes was third in the 1,000 yard freestyle, while junior
Bohdan Semak tied for second in the 50 yard free. Semak and Scranton's Michael Ramsthaler each touched the wall in 23.12, just .29 behind first. Semak also scored a second place time of 51.97 in the 100 yard freestyle, narrowly missing first by .39.
Freshman
Eric Bang made his collegiate debut, grabbing second in the 200-freestyle with a 1:53.13 mark. Bang and Sykes finished back-to-back in the 500 free, as Bang was third with a 5:14.54 time. The Devils claimed first one place event, as the team of Semak, Bang, freshman
Josh Atkins and junior
Nicholas DiBenedetto turned in a time of 1:36.86 in the 200-freestyle relay.
The Devils are back in action next Saturday, taking on William Paterson on the road with a 1 p.m. start
