ANNVILLE, Pa. – The Fairleigh Dickinson University-Florham swim teams competed at Lebanon Valley College on Saturday afternoon. The host Dutchmen swept the meet winning the men's competition 115-74 and claimed the women's matchup 127-67.
Freshman standout Bohdan Semak continued his successful first season in Madison by out-swimming the competition in the 200-meter freestyle by more than four seconds with his 2:10.35 performance. Semak clocked the best time in the 100-meter freestyle at 57.25.
Later in the day, Semak teamed up with Nicholas DiBenedetto, Alexiy Stolyarov and David Nadler to claim victory in the 200-meter freestyle relay. The foursome completed the relay in 1:45.11.
DiBenedetto dusted the competition in the 800-meter freestyle race by finishing in 10:01.81, while Lebanon Valley's runner up came in at 10:24.
On the women's side Samantha Irace and Sarah Bennett earned victories for the Devils. Irace cruised to a win in the 800-meter free at 11:02.45, while Bennett won the 100-meter free by more than two seconds at 1:07.11.
Bennett demonstrated her sprinting ability by edging Lebanon Valley's Leslie Hiller in the 50-free event. The sophomore clocked in at 30.47, topping Hiller's 30.84.
Senior captain Alexandra Duarte narrowly topped LVC's Maddie Martin in a thrilling dual in the 100-back. Duarte touched the wall in 1:18.65, besting Martin's time of 1:18.68.
