Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 MADISON, N.J. -- The FDU-Florham volleyball team appeared happy to be home from their trip to Texas, as the Devils won both of their matches on Wednesday night, sweeping both Lehman College and Purchase College 3-0 at the Ferguson Recreation Center.

The Devils (3-3), hosted the tri-match and won convincingly by blanking Lehman College (25-9, 27-25, 25-10) and then knocking off Purchase College in the nightcap (25-12, 25-12, 25-21).

Match One:
In the Devils opening match of the day, the home team came out swinging and cruised to a 25-9 victory. The Lightning (2-4) fought back and pushed the Devils to the limit in the second set, however, FDU-Florham was up to task and escaped with a 27-25 victory. In the third set, the Devils continued the momentum and closed the match out with a 25-10 rout. Freshman Melissa Gaffney (League City, Texas/Clear Creek) continued her hot start to the season by compiling 13 kills and six digs, while fellow freshman Codi Inloes-Williams (Palmer Lake, Colo./Liberty) handed out 22 assists to go along with four aces in the contest. 

Match Two:
After a brief break, the Devils came back to take on the Purchase College Panthers (0-6) in the nightcap and proceeded to take care of business. FDU-Florham cruised to a straight-set victory (25-12, 25-12, 25-21), which completed the two-match sweep. Gaffney shined again with nine kills, while sophomore Alex Barnett (Winchester, Va./Handley) totaled six kills on a tidy eight attempts. Inloes-Williams spread the ball around and picked up 19 assists despite only playing two out of the three sets.

Next up for the Devils:
 FDU-Florham heads back on the road this weekend as they go to Allentown, Pa. to battle in Muhlenberg College's Buttermaker Tournament, which begins on Friday, September 5th.
