HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Knights took an early 4-0 lead in Set 1, as Arcadia set the tone out of the gate. The Devils managed four straight points on two Knights attack errors and a kill from Fitch to make it 23-17, but that was the closest FDU came, falling 25-18 in Set 1.
• Set 2 was a back-and-forth affair early, but FDU pulled away mid-match with kills from Laci Merz and Mackenzie Crandall to make it 17-13 in favor of the Devils. The Knights cut it to a 24-20 lead for FDU after a kill and two Devils attack errors, but Fitch sealed FDU's only win on the night with a kill to take Set 2 25-20.
• Set 3 was all Knights as Arcadia took the set 25-13. The Knights opened with a 12-4 lead and never looked back.
• FDU did not go down with a fight as the Devils took the Knights to their limit in Set 4 with another back-and-forth set. After FDU took a 14-10 lead, the Knights went on an 8-0 run to take an 18-14 lead. Despite being down 23-19, the Devils did not quit and scored four times in a row to knot the set at 23 apiece. The two squads went point-for-point down the stretch, but it was Arcadia that came out on top, taking Set 4 28-26.
