Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 FORT PIERCE, Fla. – The FDU-Florham baseball team opened Freedom Conference play with a bang by sweeping both games of a doubleheader against Delaware Valley College, 1-0 and 10-0 on Saturday afternoon.

With the wins, the Devils improve to 2-2 on the season (2-0 Freedom), while the Aggies drop to 6-4 on the season (0-2 Freedom).

Game One
Devils senior right-hander Chris Roberts (Hackettstown, N.J./Hackettstown) tossed a complete-game five-hit shutout and fanned 12 for his first win of the season. Delaware Valley's  sophomore starter Jake Richard matched Roberts pitch-for-pitch but the Devils prevailed on a ninth-inning throwing error by the Aggies.
 
Game Two
In the nightcap, junior right-hander Andrew Hillie (Edison, N.J./St.Joseph's) took the mound for the Devils and was equally impressive. The junior received 10 runs from his offense but did not need it, as he cruised to a seven-inning shutout, while striking out 16 and limiting the Aggies to just three hits in the win. After three scoreless innings, the Devils offense broke out and plated 10 runs over the last four frames to earn their second win of the season.

FDU-Florham takes on Rowan University, Sunday March 16^th with first pitch slated for 12:30 p.m. in Lake Myrtle, Fla.
