Box Score MADISON, NJ - The College at Florham Devils were defeated by TCNJ, 8-5, in non-conference action on Tuesday afternoon.
With the loss, the Devils dropped to 14-18 while the Lions improved to 17-16.
TCNJ started the scoring with three runs in the top of the second but FDU cut it to 3-1 in their half of the second thanks to a sacrifice fly from junior outfielder
Kyle Herron. The Lions plated two more runs in the top of the third to grab a 5-1 advantage before the Devils made it 5-4 in the bottom of the sixth on a Lion error, a RBI single from sophomore catcher
Alex Geramita, and a RBI single by junior second baseman
Nick Meoli. TCNJ grabbed a three-run lead in the top of the seventh, 7-4, and the Lions made it 8-4 with a run in the top of the eighth. FDU pulled to within 8-5 in the bottom of the ninth on a RBI single by senior outfielder
Peter Amerosi and the Devils had two runners on with two outs and the tying run at the plate but the Lions worked out of the jam to pick up the victory.

Brandan Adams continued his hot hitting of late by going 4-for-4 with a double and three runs scored. Herron and junior third baseman
Austin Tomaszewicz had two hits apiece. Senior pitcher
Jake Hazen suffered the loss, tossing three innings and allowing five runs (four earned) on four hits.
The Devils return to action on Wednesday, April 24, 2013, at home against cross-town rival Drew beginning at 3:30 pm.
