Box Score HOBOKEN, NJ - The second-seeded College at Florham Devils outlasted top-seeded Stevens, 2-1, in eleven innings to win the 2012 ECAC Metro Region Championship on Sunday afternoon. Senior pitcher
Mike Winters was named Tournament MVP after tossing three shutout innings to pick up the win in relief.
With the win, the Devils finished the season with a record of 24-18.
The Devils got on the board first with a run in the top of the first inning on a solo home run by senior outfielder
Matt Joiner. The Ducks came right back to tie it at 1-1 in the bottom half of the fourth and the game remained tied all the way up until the top of the twelfth inning. Senior first baseman
Ryan Fandel ripped a double with one out in the inning and advance to third on a groundout. After a walk to senior catcher

Frankie Tassielli came through with a RBI single to score Fandel in what turned out to be the game-winning run. In the bottom of the 12th, Winters walked the leadoff batter but induced a ground ball double play with one out to end the game.

Chris Roberts started the game and was fantastic on the hill, tossing eight innings while allowing just one run on five hits to go along with eight strikeouts.
