SCRANTON, PA - The College at Florham Devils men's and women's swim teams opened the 2012 season against Scranton and Cabrini on Saturday afternoon. The men lost to Scranton, 67-27, and Cabrini, 68-26, while the women fell to Scranton, 67-27, and Cabrini, 56-37.
With the losses, each team now stands at 0-2.
MEN - Junior
David Padilla placed third in the 100 back (1:05.22) and fourth in the 200 IM (2:28.93) while freshman
David Nadler finished third in the 50 free (24.61) and fourth in the 100 fly (1:07.62). Junior
Harry Givas came in fourth place in the 100 free (1:00.73) while sophomore
David Warren finished fourth in the 200 free (2:13.28).
WOMEN - Sophomore
Lauren Socienski came in third in the 200 free (2:12.53) and the 100 back ( 1:09.34) while freshman
Marguerita Yarleque placed second in the 100 free (1:05.14). Sophomore
Mariane Herte took third in the 100 breast (1:28.35) and fourth in the 200 IM (2:43.31) while freshman
Piper Jones came in third in the 50 free (29.25) and fourth in the 100 fly (1:12.75). Freshman
Destiny Perez placed third in the 500 free (7:57.32).
The Devils return to action on Tuesday, October 30, 2012, when they women take on Hunter at home beginning at 6 pm.
