MADISON, NJ - The College at Florham Devils men's and women's swim teams competed against Messiah on Saturday afternoon. The men lost by a score of 133-50 while the women were downed by a count of 157-41.
With the loss, the men are now 2-7 while the women stand at 2-9.
MEN - Sophomore
Corey Esposito won the 1,000 free in a time of 13:29.97 while freshman
Jon Scott placed first in the 500 free (5:44.00) and third in the 400 IM (5:16.36). Freshman
David Warren took second in the 50 free with a time of 25.40 and third in the 200 breast (2:41.78), sophomore
David Padilla placed third in the 200 fly (2:35.28), freshman
Erik Ekstrand came in third in the 200 back (3:26.86).
WOMEN - Senior
Luci DiMaggio came in second in the 500 free (6:10.88) and third in the 400 IM (5.28.56) to lead the women. Senior
Melanie Allen took second in the 200 fly (2:41.19), senior
Carolina Malia placed third in the 1,000 free (13.23.52) and freshman
Mariane Herte placed third in the 200 back (2:40.09).
The Devils return to action on Tuesday, January 10, 2011, at home against York (PA) beginning at 6:30 pm.
