MADISON, NJ - The College at Florham Devils experienced an offensive explosion on Wednesday afternoon, beating Eastern by a score of 18-3 in Freedom Conference action.
With the win, the Devils improved to 8-6 (3-2 Freedom) while the Eagles dropped to 5-10-1 (1-5 Freedom).
FDU started the scoring in the second inning with a two-run home run by junior first baseman
Ryan Fandel and a RBI single by junior shortstop
Steve Seminerio. The Devils made it 4-0 in the third on a RBI single from senior outfielder
Ryan Kalish but Eastern cut it to 4-1 in the top of the fourth. FDU plated three in the fourth, four in fifth, and four in the sixth to break the game wide open as they cruised to the victory.

Matt Oliveto finished the game 3-for-4 with a double, four runs scored and two RBI while junior designated hitter

Brandon Smith picked up the win on the mound, tossing six innings and allowing two runs on six hits.
The Devils return to action on Friday, April 1, 2011, at Delaware Valley beginning at 3:30 pm.
