UNION, NJ - The College at Florham Devils were defeated by fifth-ranked Kean, 10-4, in non-conference action on Tuesday afternoon.
With the loss, the Devils dropped to 7-6 while the Cougars improved to 15-3.
FDU got off to a fast start, scoring two runs in the top of the first inning on two Kean errors. The Cougars came back with a run in the second and four in the third to grab a 5-2 advantage. The Devils cut it to 5-3 in the fourth on a RBI double by junior catcher
Nick Marcucci but Kean plated one in the fifth, two in the sixth and two in the seventh to take a 10-3 lead. FDU got one more run in the top of the ninth on a RBI single by senior outfielder
Ryan Kalish.

John Pieper all had two hits for the Devils. Junior pitcher
Bobby Smith suffered the loss, going three innings and allowing five runs on seven hits.
The Devils return to action on Wednesday, March 30, 2011, at home against Eastern beginning at 3:30 pm.
