MADISON, NJ - The College at Florham Devils men's and women's swim teams raced at the Ranger Invitational held at Drew on Friday, Saturday and Sunday afternoons. The women came in third out of four teams while the men finished second out of three teams.
MEN - FDU knocked off Sarah Lawrence, 200-161, but lost to Drew, 289-200. Freshman
Jon Scott placed second in the 500 free (5:38.53), first in the 400 IM (5:00.93), first in the 200 fly (2:27.16) and first in the 1650 free (20:03.77). Sophomore
David Padilla finished third in the 200 IM (2:24.66), second in the 100 back (1:05.73) and first in the 200 back (2:23.76). Freshman
Eric Ekstrand came in third in the 100 breast (1:30.10)
WOMEN - The Devils beat Post, 178-46, but lost to Drew, 270-178, and Sarah Lawrence, 266-178. Senior
Luci DiMaggio finished second in the 500 free (6:02.89) and third in the 1650 free (20:54.00) while senior
Elisabeth Hilzen came in third in the 200 IM (2:51.56). Freshman
Lauren Socienski placed first in the 50 free (26.31), second in the 100 back (1:08.69) and second in the 100 free (58.09). Senior
Melanie Allen finished second in the 100 fly (1:09.66) and junior
Genevieve Pilat placed third in the 200 fly (3:12.97).
The Devils return to action on Tuesday, December 6, 2011, at home against William Paterson beginning at 6 pm.
