MADISON, NJ - The College at Florham Devils claimed their second consecutive win on Sunday afternoon with a 1-0 victory over New Paltz in non-conference action.
With the win, the Devils improved to 2-1.
After a scoreless first half, the Devils tallied the only goal of the game when junior midfielder
Emin Matezic (Bronx, NY/Manhattan CC) found the back of the net off a free kick at the 67:04 mark. FDU did suffer a scare a few minutes later when New Paltz scored what looked to be the game-tying goal, but it was called off and the Devils were able to hold on for the win.
Senior goalkeeper
Kevin Herbert (Whippany, NJ/Whippany Park) picked up the shutout win, making four saves in net.
The Devils return to action on Wednesday, September 8, 2010, at home against Ramapo beginning at 3:30 pm.
