Men's Soccer Plays Manhattanville to 2-2 Draw at Home

MADISON, N.J. – The FDU-Florham men's soccer team played Manhattanville to 2-2 draw Friday night at home.

DEVILS HIGHLIGHTS HOW IT HAPPENED
  • The Valiants took a 1-0 lead in the 20' as Manhattanville's Koky Duarte found the back of the Devils net. 
  • FDU immediately answered with a goal from Ferreira for his first career collegiate score to knot the match at 1-1. 
  • Less than six minutes later, the Valiants took a 2-1 lead on an unassisted goal from Roberto Velasquez-Osorio.
  • In the 39', Gancio netted his own unassisted goal and the final goal of the match, to knot the score at 2-2. 
  • The two squads matched one another in shots and in saves in the second half with six and two, respectively. 
GAME NOTES
  • Nine new Devils players made their FDU debuts in tonight's match. 
  • The two squads finished with two corners each in the contest. 
  • Tonight's match was the first time the two teams have played since Oct. 17 of 2018
UP NEXT
FDU returns to the pitch on Sunday, Sept. 6 as the Devils host the United States Merchant Marine Academy. Kick-off is set for 1 p.m.
