Marc Hubbert (Freehold, NJ/Freehold Boro) went 3-for-3 with a double, two runs scored and four RBI to lead the College at Florham Devils to a 13-2 win over Delaware Valley in Freedom Conference action on Friday afternoon.
With the win, the Devils improved to 14-3 (6-1 Freedom) while the Aggies dropped to 8-10 (1-7 Freedom).
FDU got started immediately as a RBI double by Hubbert gave the Devils a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning. The Devils made it 2-0 in the second on a solo home run by junior outfielder
Alex Sariyan (Oakland, NJ/Indian Hills) and 4-0 in the third thanks to a two-run single by senior third baseman
Joey Santillo (Budd Lake, NJ/Mt. Olive). Delaware Valley cut it to 4-1 in the top of the fourth inning but FDU increased its lead to 6-1 in the bottom half of the fourth on a RBI double by Sariyan and a sacrifice fly by sophomore shortstop
Steve Seminerio (East Hanover, NJ/Hanover Park). After the Aggies closed to 6-2 in the top of the sixth, the Devils broke the game open in the bottom half with four runs to take a 10-2 lead when senior second baseman
Chris Baldino (Old Bridge, NJ/Old Bridge) scored on a wild pitch, a RBI single from Hubbert, a RBI single by sophomore designated hitter
Matt Joiner (Hamilton, NJ/Nottingham) and a sacrifice fly by sophomore first baseman
Ryan Fandel (Flemington, NJ/Hunterdon Central). The Devils tacked on three more runs in the seventh to put the game completely out of reach.
Sariyan finished 2-for-4 with a double, a home run, two runs scored and two RBI while Joiner went 3-for-5 with a stolen base, a run scored and two RBI. Baldino and junior outfielder
